About Us at Nottingham Shilohs
It may seem that our lives revolve around our dogs. It is true our Shilohs are an active part of our life and household but it’s not so much that our lives revolve around them than we have been able to adopt them into our lifestyle. We do a lot of training, that is true, but that's not the extent of it. There is a lot of play, and sleep, and socialization, and naps, and travel, and snoozing, and the Nottingham Shilohs certainly enjoy the life of beloved dogs. We made a standing commitment to them to incorporate them into our lives and that means at home, during travel, with our other animals (our cats and chickens), visitors, family members, neighborhood children, and most certainly with the Shiloh Shepherds we help in our involvement in breed rescue. And believe us when we say they are worth every moment of it, our Shilohs have given back of themselves a thousand times over in countless ways.

Daily life at Nottingham Shilohs inclues the training we do outside our home, but just as important is the play and experiences they have at home. We have recently started a chicken colony and be sure to check out our dogs and chickens together.

As we've said before, we strive to do the best we can with each litter and each dog. Dogs are a lifetime commitment, but provide a lifetime of rewards.

Daily Life at the Nottingham household is really quite busy. We work, take care of our home, and train at different canine disciplines and facilities, just to name a few things. Marti teaches at the local dog obedience center and we volunteer for our parent club, the ISSDC, and it's local region.

We have chickens, are active home gardeners and have a pretty active social life. Our dogs have successfully been able to be a part of all aspects of our life, and including them in our lives just seems to improve our bond.
